By accessing or using the VAULT4 website, platform, and services (collectively, "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time by posting updates to our website. Continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms means you accept and agree to the changes.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old to use VAULT4. By registering an account, you represent and warrant that all information provided is accurate, complete, and truthful. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breaches of security.
3. Non-Custodial Wallet & User Control
VAULT4 operates as a non-custodial platform. You retain ownership and control of your private keys and digital assets. VAULT4 does not hold custody of your assets — we only provide tools and infrastructure. We cannot recover lost, stolen, or forgotten private keys. Your use of the platform is at your sole risk. We are not liable for loss of funds due to user error, unauthorized access, or any other cause.
4. Know Your Customer (KYC) & Compliance
To use certain features of VAULT4, you must complete our identity verification process. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated personal information, including government-issued identification. We comply with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you fail to complete KYC verification or if we suspect violation of applicable laws or regulations.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to: (a) engage in illegal activities or violate applicable laws; (b) use VAULT4 for money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion; (c) attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform; (d) impersonate others or provide false information; (e) use automated tools to scrape or manipulate the Service; (f) engage in market manipulation or fraudulent trading; (g) transmit malware or malicious code; or (h) violate the rights of others.
6. Transaction Limits & Fees
VAULT4 may impose transaction limits, daily withdrawal limits, and account limits. Exchange transactions are subject to spread-based pricing displayed at the time of transaction. Fees may be charged for certain services and are calculated and displayed before you confirm a transaction. We reserve the right to modify transaction limits and fee structures with notice.
7. Third-Party Services & Links
VAULT4 may integrate with or link to third-party services, payment processors, and blockchain networks. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. VAULT4 is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your use of third-party services.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
VAULT4 and all content on the platform (including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and code) are the property of VAULT4 or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or transmit any content without our express written consent. Your use of the Service does not grant you any rights to VAULT4's intellectual property.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all express and implied warranties, including accuracy, reliability, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VAULT4 and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to VAULT4 in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VAULT4 and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your violation of applicable laws or regulations; or (d) your infringement of third-party rights.
12. Account Termination & Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for: (a) violation of these Terms; (b) suspected illegal activity; (c) non-compliance with KYC requirements; (d) regulatory concerns; or (e) any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will provide notice of termination and an opportunity to withdraw remaining funds where legally permissible.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts.
14. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Comprehensive Arbitration and Mediation Services Rules, to be held in New York, NY.
15. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VAULT4 and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, and negotiations.
